Welcome to The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) Net Price Calculator!

The CIA is pleased to provide this net price calculator as a tool to assist in your early financial planning. This calculator will provide a preliminary estimate of federal, state and institutional aid eligibility, to help families gauge what aid the student may be awarded and to make arrangements to cover the cost of attendance. This estimate is based on 2013-14 tuition, fees and award policies of the CIA, and it is subject to change.

8 The calculator will take approximately 8 minutes to complete.

It would be helpful for both Student and Parent* to have the items listed below in order to complete this process.

  • 2012 Income Tax Returns
  • Earnings statements (W2 forms, recent paycheck stubs)
  • most recent bank statements
  • Student merit information
    • GPA
    • Standardized test scores if available (SAT/ACT)

If you do not have this information available, estimates are perfectly acceptable when working with the calculator.

*If you are an independent student, typically 24 years of age or older, parent information will not be required.

The calculator is intended for use by U.S. citizens or permanent residents who will be entering the first year of a degree program.

This calculator is designed to provide an estimate of your financial aid eligibility. You must complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and be accepted to the CIA to receive an official award package.

Please note this calculator is for estimates only and the actual award package will vary depending upon the time of year, campus attending, regulatory and institutional policy changes, availability of funds, actual test scores and academic information, as well as verifiable financial information.
